Oxfam Hunger banquet


Students are randomly assigned to one of three income groups by receiving a ticket as they enter the lunch area. Fifteen percent are high income ($12,000+/year), 30% are middle income ($1,200-$12,000/year), and 55% are low income (less than $1,200/year). These income levels and percentages match the actual distribution across the globe. After hearing a brief set of facts about each income level, students eat a meal that approximates the daily meal for people in that income group.
