global citizenship and leadership program for high school students

“I hold High Resolves completely responsible for my now ceaseless passion for social justice and increasingly regular urges to be a superhero and save the planet!”
(former High Resolves student)

One of the primary aims of the High Resolves program is to help students realise that they have a personal role to play in how we develop as a global society and that the choices they make in life will make a difference. This is encapsulated in our motto: our world, our choice.

Consistent feedback and evidence of outcomes have demonstrated that High Resolves leaves an indelible mark on students: the belief that their choices do matter and that they can change the world.

The High Resolves Global Citizenship and Leadership Programs together offer a three-year transformational experience for high school students in Years 8 to 10.

The foundation level Global Citizenship Program is for all Year 8 students, and is comprised of two highly interactive modules on Collective Identity and Justice.

This can then be followed by an advanced two-year Global Leadership Program for a selected group of Year 9 and 10 students. It consists of further modules on Conflict Resolution and Collective Action as well as two major student-led social action projects designed to create positive impact in both the school and wider community.

The program is delivered by specially-trained High Resolves facilitators, committed to helping students develop the mindsets, skills and confidence to become purposeful global citizens and leaders.

In 2014 High Resolves will work with over 110 high schools nationally and has specifically tailored strategies to support most student profiles. More than 50,000 students have participated in the program since it first commenced in 2005.
